A reissue of Tracce d’esperienza cristiana e altri scritti (Jaca Book, 1977), to which the publisher added a “Preface to the new edition” (pp. 9-11).

The volume contains, complete or in part, the three texts that record the formation and early experiences of Communion and Liberation.

The text Tracce d’esperienza cristiana (GIAC and Gioventù Studentesca, 1960) is reissued complete (pp. 15-60). The appendices contain the chapters “Una premessa di metodo” (the first appendix, pp. 63-66) and “Incontro” (second appendix, pp. 67-85); both taken from Appunti di metodo cristiano (Gioventù Studentesca, 1964, pp. 5-45); while “Aspetti metodologici del richiamo cristiano” (forming the third appendix, pp. 87-107) comes from G.S. riflessioni sopra un’esperienza (1963, pp. 11-37). The brief initial chapter, “Deciso come gesto” (1963, pp. 9-10) was moved to the end of the volume (pp. 107-108).

In 1994 Jaca Book reissued the 1991 text in the second of the two volumes containing the author’s writings published under its inprint (Opere 1966-1992. Vol. 2. Tracce d’esperienza cristiana e altri scritti (pp. 59-152).

The three texts are now republished complete in the volume Il cammino al vero è un’esperienza (SEI, 1996. First SEI edition, 1995).
