Father Giussani’s address to the Synod of Bishops on the laity (Rome, 9 October 1987), published unabridged by the ADISTA press agency under the title Mons. Giussani: “Comunione vivente col Papa, luogo dell'ultima pace per ogni fedele” (22-23-24 October 1987), was here republished ten years after the event in the column titled “Verso il grande Giubileo” (together with the homily for the closure of the Synod and the address to the Synodal Fathers by John Paul II, 30 October 1987). In 1993 the text was inserted in the miscellaneous volume L’avvenimento cristiano. Uomo Chiesa Mondo with the titled “Dal Battesimo una creatura nuova” (BUR, 1993, pp. 23-25; last BUR edition, 2003).
