First edition of the text Appunti di metodo cristiano published in Milan in 1964.

Formerly reprinted in the miscellaneous volume Tracce di esperienza e appunti di metodo cristiano (Jaca Book, 1972, pp. 141-254, reprint of the original), this small volume is now part of Il cammino al vero è un’esperienza (SEI, 1996, pp. 77-131. First edition 1995), a work which republishes the three writings that marked the beginnings of the Communion and Liberation movement.

In 1977 the chapters “Una grande premessa” (1964, pp. 5-13) and “L’incontro” (1964, pp. 17-45) were included as an appendix to the volume Tracce d’esperienza cristiana e altri scritti (Jaca Book, 1977, with the titles “Una premessa di metodo” pp. 91-99 and “Incontro”, pp. 101-133. New edition Jaca Book, 1991, pp. 63-85). The section titled “L’incontro come esperienza” (points a, b, c – 1964, pp. 44-45) of the latter chapter corresponds to the chapter “L’esperienza cristiana” in the pamphlet titled L’esperienza, published in 1963, (pp. 8-9), which was subsequently included in the volume Il rischio educativo (First edition Jaca Book, 1977; now Rizzoli, 2005).

The paragraph “Democrazia” (1964, pp. 91-96), part of the chapter “Missione”, was reissued in the miscellaneous volume L’io, il potere, le opere. Contributi da un’esperienza (“Affermare l’altro in quanto è”, in the chapter “La politica”, Marietti, 2000, pp. 179-182). Passages from the same section constituted the article Democrazia in “Litterae Communionis-Tracce “ (4, 2002, p. 30; translations).
